The Three Mysteries
The Three Mysteries are a fundamental foundation of the teachings of the Chinese Esoteric School. They relate to three primary aspects of our consciousness, and through methods that utilise the Three Mysteries, immense change can take place in the practitioner within a surprisingly short period of time.
The three aspects of conciousness that we refer to are Body, Mind and Speech.
Body
Body relates to the physical body that we occupy. Different body and hand positions can affect change in the practitioner by opening up energy channels, referred to by Chinese medicine as Meridians.
Mind
The mind is the non-verbal aspect of our thought processes. People experience different types of thought forms, some visual, some abstract. The methods we use guide the practitioner through different sequences of thought forms. For example, if one were to think of a beach, one would have an idea of a beach in their mind. It may not necessarily be a picture of a beach; the thought form itself is sufficient.
Speech
Speech refers to the verbal aspect of our minds and bodies. We use mantras; sequences of sanskrit words that create a particular vibration of consciousness that can affect tremendous change.
