Four Foundation Workshops
Workshops
Learn the Four Foundation meditations in one of our workshop sessions! Workshops are afternoon, evening or all day intensive studies of a given Dharma. We emphasise practice and we aim to ensure that attendees have all the support that they need in order to realise the benefits of their practice.
These workshops are currently non-residential. The workshops may last over a number of days, on consecutive weeks.
Types of workshops available
There are a number of different workshops available for the Four Foundation meditations. Each of these workshops can be taken seperately. They work individually, as well as together, to cultivate strengthened and empowered consciousness in the practitioner.
Treasure Vase
This workshop is perfect for those who are new to meditation. In order to practice the meditations of the Chinese Esoteric School, one needs to be able to access our inner abilities of generating Qi, or Chi. This method enables the practitioner to clear our energetic membrane (which is under the skin, and above the flesh) of tiny attachments and blockages. The warming and cooling methods enable the practitioner to become insulated from their enviroment, no longer being affected by heat and cold. This is normally taught as a morning or afternoon session.
Calming and Relaxing
Does what it says on the tin - calming and relaxing is a meditation that is focused on calming and relaxing the body and mind. When practiced regularly, it allows the practitioner's consciousness to be free to explore, allowing the body and mind to recover from the strains of modern living. When this method is really grasped, it opens up the wisdom of the practitioner, revealing internal wisdom about their own lives. This is also known as entering into State, and is essential to get the most out of the more advanced dharma practices. This is normally taught as a morning or afternoon session.
Diamond Wisdom
Diamond Wisdom is a meditation to enter the second Zen state. It contains powerful healing and protection methods, as well as the ability to open up much greater wisdom and awareness in the second Zen state. This is normally taught as a morning or afternoon session.
Dhyana Yoga.
There are two Dhyana yoga workshops available.
The first one is an introductory session, in which one mudra and one mantra is taught. This allows the new practitioner to effectively practice this method, and open themselves into the fourth Zen State. This is normally taught as a morning or afternoon session.
The advanced workshop contains the full method of eight mantras, and four mudras. This is the full practice, giving the maximum amount of engagement for the practitioner. This is normally taught as a full day workshop.
